At Fried Frank, we value individuals for who they are and for the unique perspectives they bring to our firm and our clients. Our firm began with German-Jewish lawyers who faced discrimination at a time when few established law firms would hire them. We continue to foster a welcoming atmosphere, and respect for each individual is paramount to the Fried Frank culture. We have a proud tradition of advocating for the rights of others. We honor that heritage by fostering a progressive, supportive, and diverse community, and encouraging our colleagues at every level to achieve their full potential. We’re proud that a diverse group of individuals is active at all levels of the firm, including in leadership and management, and we provide an array of programs to support professional and personal development for everyone at the firm. 


Our long-established Diversity and Inclusion department ensures that we adhere to best practices and also leads important firmwide initiatives, including supporting our Employee Resource Groups for women, EDGE (Ethnically Diverse Group of Employees), LGBTQ+ individuals, and working families. These groups meet regularly and present programs to raise awareness of issues and cultural concerns.
